Hi!
I finally got the chance to sew again. It was my plan last year to sew a slip cover but it is only now I got to really sew it with the help of Yic of course <3. Just so you know, I'm not a pro on this, and the last time I get to learn and listen to a sewing lecture was during my grade school days. Our project that time was to sew an apron.
It's hard when you have no pattern and since I have not tried that pattern making in a large sized project just like a sofa, I decided to cut the fabric by pinning it to the sofa first so I get that nice and fitted slip cover. :)
I started figuring out if the amount of fabric that I bought will cover the entire sofa, however it's not. Instead of going back to Fabric Warehouse in Greenhills where I bought the fabric to get more or go to Ylaya in Divisoria which is the haven for fabric lovers, I just left the back of the seat hanging since it's hidden. Anyway, I can repair it once I have extra fabric. I have 4 yards of fabric by the way, so I think 6 yards is good enough to cover everything. I failed in calculating the amount of fabric needed on this project, now I know that when it comes to fabric, it's better to have more than just enough. What about you? Do you have any suggestions of tips for me? Feel free to comment and thanks for reading. :)
